Director Shiva Nirvana thinks all the girls and family audience will love
Vijay Deverakonda's character, Viplav in
Kushi.
An everyday telecom employee, Viplav is a far cry from the rabble rousers the Arjun Reddy star usually plays. "This time I didn’t say yes to do the film just because I loved my role. I said yes because I really loved the script and there's a greater purpose all the characters in the film serve.
I'm sure everyone will agree with me when they see it," explains Vijay.
The film explores how a couple thrive in love but struggle to keep the spark alive after marriage. Vijay's easy chemistry with Samantha, who plays a techie Aradhya, has been the talking point of the film. And the actor is all praise for his co-star. "Working with
Samantha was a ball, she’s one of our finest. She is intelligent, sensitive and a great sounding board. She’s also quite level-headed on set when things get chaotic," says Vijay.
The actor says the music by
Hesham Abdul Wahab enhances the romantic ambience of the film. "Songs like Na Roja Nuvve, Aradhya, Osi Pellama are big mood lifters, so is the title track. The music sets the overall tone for the film." Much like its title,
Vijay believes Kushi will give the audience ‘lots of joy.’ He says, "The film is meant to be watched on the big screen, with family – especially with your better halves. It’ll make you smile, laugh, and choke up with emotion."
Produced by Naveen Yerneni, Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili under Mythri Movie Makers, Kushi is releasing tomorrow.
